Koomo Pip: version log

Version 0.5.1 2 November 2026

Calmer, easier island

Simpler top bar: Ask AI, quick note, Settings and close stay; screenshot, screen recording and hide moved into a ⋯ menu. Each tab now shows a short status next to its name (2 new, Live, 3 items, Next in 10 min).
Inbox: every message is its own card with a bigger app icon, the sender and app on the first line and the message underneath.
System: only what your PC reports (no more "Not reported" cards), and CPU, GPU, memory, network and disk each draw a live line.
Focus: a big ring on the left, Focus / Break pills and a large timer.
Clipboard: filters (All, Links, Colours, Code, Text, Images) and cards, copied colours show as the colour itself. Click a card to copy it again.
Agents: the steps are a checklist (✓ done, a spinning ring for now); when there is nothing to show yet, the card no longer shows an empty box.
Media: the time left in the song (-2:31), and slider tracks that are easier to see.

Sign in with Google

Gmail and Google Calendar: press Sign in with Google, your own browser opens Google’s page, press Allow, no App Password, no password typed into Pip.
Your Google Calendar meetings (with Meet or Zoom links) now come straight from your account; the secret iCal link is still there as an option.
Outlook and Google calendars both count for meeting reminders, even without an iCal link.

Apps inside the island, desktop widgets, unlock animation

Web apps (WhatsApp, Telegram, Teams, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot…) now open inside the island in a new Apps tab, no separate pop-up window. Switch apps from the strip at the top; press ↗ to open the same site in your own browser.
Desktop widgets: clock, date, time and weather, up next, today’s calendar, system rings, network, now playing and a focus timer, on your wallpaper, under your apps. Add them in Settings → Extras; drag to move, × to remove.
Unlock animation: when you unlock Windows with your face (Windows Hello), fingerprint or PIN, the island shows an eye that turns into a tick.
Ask AI answers now open inside the island too.

Settings opens again

Fixed: Pip froze for about 20 seconds and Windows closed it ("stopped working") when Settings opened while an Obsidian vault on an offline network drive was in your Obsidian list. Vaults are now checked in the background with a short time limit.
Fixed: Claude Code status could stop arriving after another copy of Pip had run. Pip now repairs its Claude Code hooks by itself when it starts.

Ask any AI from the top of your screen

Ask AI (Ctrl+Alt+A or the ✦ button): type once and send it to ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity or Copilot — their real site opens right under the island with your own free account.
A new System tab: live CPU graph, GPU, memory, swap, storage, network, disk activity and battery with temperature.
The agent card now shows what your coding agent is doing: the last edit as a colour diff and the last command with its test output.
Shortcuts on Home: one click to open the apps, sites and folders you use most (Settings → Extras).
Click Pip on an empty Home and it bounces — but not too many times.
Fixed: the mouse cursor could freeze for the whole PC while Pip was busy (for example when Settings opened).
Settings reads slow things (registry, agent files, Obsidian vaults) at most every 15 seconds, so opening it stays light.

Ask Copilot, capture the screen, update by itself

Microsoft Copilot in Pip: ask a question, then copy the answer or save it to Obsidian (selected text, or the last answer).
Screenshots (Ctrl+Alt+S) and screen recording (Ctrl+Alt+R) with an optional recording timer on the island.
Automatic updates: Pip finds new versions, downloads them quietly and offers "Restart now".
Cursor, GitHub Copilot CLI and Windsurf join Claude Code, Codex and Gemini CLI as status sources.
Choose which screen the island lives on.
Music volume slider and mute button in the Media tab.
Languages: English, Hindi, Spanish, French and German.
Help tab with shortcuts, feedback and a diagnostics file you can send to support.
Timers now change once a second with a smooth digit slide instead of a jump.
Fixed: long text in a Done pop-up no longer pushes the panel out of its shape.
Fixed: WhatsApp Web no longer asks you to update Chrome.
Much lighter on CPU and graphics when Pip is idle; the installer is about 9 MB smaller.
